Patricia Ann Frazier

Patricia Barlow Frazier, a long-time resident of Hominy, passed away on May 1, 2021 in Bartlesville at age 96. Patty was born June 11, 1924 in Hominy and graduated from Hominy High School in 1942. She attended Phillips University in Enid after high school.

She was a talented singer and dancer at an early age and continued singing throughout her adult life at countless church and civic functions, weddings and funerals. For many years she enjoyed singing in a sextet composed of Hominy homemakers. She was an active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Patty married her high school sweetheart, Herman R. Frazier, on January 20, 1946, shortly after his return from active duty in World War II. From this marriage four sons (Dick, Doug, Dan and Will) were born and became Patty's primary focus until they all were grown.

Herm and Patty moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas following Herm's retirement from Frazier's Auto Parts Company. They lived there until Herm's death in 2001. Patty later moved to Green Country Village in Bartlesville where she lived until her death. She loved the Green Country staff and the other residents, and they loved her.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, O.L. and Ethel Petty Barlow, her four older sisters, her husband Herman, and her son Douglas Barlow Frazier. She is survived by three of her sons, Dick and wife Susan of Irving, Texas, Dan and wife Kaye of Hominy, and Will and wife Jill of Marlow, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations be made to the First Christian Church, PO Box 535, Hominy, OK 74035. Patty was an active member of the church for close to 70 years, and her parents were charter members.

Services for Patty will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 at the First Christian Church, Hominy, Oklahoma.
