Olive F. Ames, a resident of Jennings was born September 7, 1921 in London, England to Charles Edward and Emily Selina (Newland) Evans. Olive attended school and grew up in London, England. She was a member of the Royal Air Force from 1942 till 1944 during World War II and was discharged as a Lance Corporal. She was united in marriage to Carl C. Ames, Jr. in London, England on June 3, 1944. In 1946 Olive and Carl moved to the United States. Upon their move to the US they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1963 Olive and Carl moved to the Keystone Lake area and later moved to the farm in Jennings in 1983 where they have resided since. Olives family and grandchildren was her life she was known to them as ''Bona''.

Olive passed away December 24, 2001 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years 3 months and 17 days. Preceding her in death are her parents, sister and a grandson.

Survived by her husband Carl C. Ames, Jr., of the home; two daughters, Velda P. Hughes, Cleveland, Oklahoma; Sherry Lee Lamb, Keystone, Oklahoma; three brothers, Charles E. Evans, England; Derek A. Evans, England; Ronald F. Evans, England; two sisters, Joan W. Hunter, England; Iris D. Day, England; ten grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Teddy Lamb, Robert Page, Jimmy Laxton, Philip Hughes, Shane McCleary, Craig Fack and Robert Keith Page.

Services will be held December 28, 2001 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the First Christian Church, officiated by Rev. Dick Rush and Rev. George Boston. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
