Memorial services for Norma Helen Davis, will be held 10:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2007 in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Norma was born November 21, 1922 in Erie, Kansas the daughter of Robert Norman and Hazel S. (Yockey) Audiss. Norma was raised and received her education in Erie. After Norma completed her education she began working as a waitress at a local restaurant. She later accepted employment at an ammunition plant in Parsons, Kansas during World War II. Norma met her future husband William L. Davis while working with at a local carnival. They were later united in marriage in Ottawa, Kansas on August 28, 1946. After Norma and Bill were married they traveled across the country to Carson City, California. They made their home in Carson City from 1947 till the mid 1980ís. After Bill retired, they moved to Lake Elsinore, California and then later to Cleveland, Oklahoma in 1987 where Norma has continued to reside.

Norma was a lady who had a labor of love for her church the First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Mrs. Davis was active part of the Baptist Womanís Group. They would visit people not able to get out as well as taking audio tapes of services so that they would be able to hear the weekly sermons. Mrs. Davis was also active in the choir, Sunday school teacher for 20 plus years, Vacation Bible School, church camp teacher, WMU member, and Outreach chairperson. Norma was active with the Osage Senior Center where she was past secretary. While living in California Mrs. Davis was also an active member of the Moose Lodge. She held the following offices; treasure, senior regent and Woman of the Moose. However, Norma felt that her greatest accomplishments were raising her two sons.

Norma went to be with her Lord and Saviour June 13, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 6 months and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill as well as two brothers Clifford and Claud Audiss.

Survived by her sons, Leland Paul Davis and his wife Sue of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Amor Paul Davis and his wife Christy of Centennial, Colorado; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Davis and his wife Audrey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Matthew Alen Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Joshua Scott Davis of Centennial, Colorado; Sarah Cherie Cheatwood and her husband Nathan of Denver, Colorado; one great grandson Conner Lee Eugene Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
