In 2002, Monty was initiated into the Eastern Star as well. Monty and Anita have traveled throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kansas visiting the Grand Chapters of Eastern Star. Yearly trips to the Kiamichi Mountains was also something the family did while active with the Southwest Spanish Mustang Association. Most of all in life Monty was devoted entirely to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He and Anita were members of the Terlton First Baptist Church. Monty was on numerous boards, as well as advisory committees at the church. He loved his family dearly and cherished each and every one of his grandkids. Monty is described as a Godly man who touched everyone.
