Jane Albright, a resident of Wichita was born February 16, 1926 in Cleveland, Oklahoma to William Eugene and Margaret Ellen (Long) Brandeberry. Jane was raised and attended school in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1944. After graduation, Jane enrolled and attended Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater and was then united in marriage to Alfred G. Stone in June of 1945. Shortly after their marriage, Jane and Alfred moved to Denver, Colorado and later moved to Kansas City upon Alfredís enrollment into dental school. After his graduation, the couple made their home in Herrington, Kansas in 1952. In 1956, Jane and Alfred moved to Wichita, Kansas where Dr. Stone established his practice. After the death of Alfred in 1967, Jane continued to reside in Wichita and in September of 1970 she was united in marriage to Harry Albright. In 1973, Jane and Harry returned to Cleveland, Oklahoma for several years before returning to Wichita in the early 1980ís.

Jane was extremely active and had numerous hobbies including sewing and cross- stitching. She also enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. Jane especially enjoyed taking trips with Alfred to Utah and Colorado. After Jane was married to Harry they traveled extensively to many different places. Jane was a member of the St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Wichita, as well as Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women promoting friendship and enriching their lives through community service.

Jane passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of eighty years, six months and seven days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Dr. Alfred G. Stone and Harry E. Albright in April of 2005; as well as a sister Audra Jean Reed.

She is survived by six children, Dr. John A. Stone of Olathe, Kansas; Kristen J. Pace of Wichita, Kansas; William G. Stone of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Terri Amend of Estes Park, Colorado; Marty Albright of Olathe, Kansas; Lisa Phelps of Joplin, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Mathew, Kara, Gena, Mandy, Brett, Shanna, Stephanie, Jenny, Katie, Brandon, Chelsea, and Tommy, eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends and family from 10 am until 12 pm Saturday at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Woodland Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the St. Andrews Lutheran Church at 2255 Hyacinth, Wichita, KS 67204 in memory of Jane Albright.
