Mary Ann Gilley

Mary Ann Gilley, 55, passed from this life on March 24, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mary was born on August 31, 1963, Mary was the daughter of William Thomas Bellieu and Marguerite Frances (Martin) Collard “Peggy” of Pawhuska. Mary attended school in Dewey, Oklahoma for one year, then completed her education in Hominy graduating with the Class of 1982. Following high school, Mary was united in marriage to Ronnie Gilley the couple established their home in Hominy. From 2004-2005, Mary ran the Simple Simon’s Pizza in Hominy. Later, she started working at the casino, until she retired in 2015, for medical reasons.
Mary’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She passed the time cooking at her moms, watching the grandkids’ ballgames, and going to family functions. Getting a drink at sonic during happy hour was her vice. Taco Bell and steak were her favorite things to eat. People around Mary described her as “honest and well loved.” Some even described her as their “hero.” Mary had a big heart, and with it, she wanted to help those around her.
Mary is survived by two children Samantha Josphine Gilley of Hominy, Oklahoma, Ronnie "Bubba" Gilley of Hominy, Oklahoma; mother Peggy Collard of Hominy, Oklahoma; one brother William Thomas, Jr. of Hominy, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren Elexis Gilley, Morgan Okerson, Elijah Gilley, Hunter Stevens, Tripp Stevens and Samuel Stevens as well as numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. Mary is preceded in death by her father and one sister Kimberly Kay Bellieu.
Visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in the Osage Indian Chapel in Hominy, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in the Osage Indian Chapel in Hominy, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Burbank Cemetery in Burbank, Oklahoma.
