Martha Louise Mills

Martha Louise Mills passed from this life on March 16, 2023, at the age of 87 in Mannford, Oklahoma.

Louise was born on November 4, 1935, in Cleveland, Oklahoma the daughter of James Monroe and Clara Mae (Rainbolt) Wilcoxson. Louise grew up and attended school in Cleveland later graduating with the Class of 1954. Following high school Louise began working at Atlas Life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was later united in marriage to Doyle G. Mills on December 21, 1956, at the home of Thomas and Norma Bartley in Keystone. Following their marriage they established a home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1958, Louise and Doyle moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma then gaining employment at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Louise then accepted a position with the Western Farmers Electric Coop. They also resided in Okemah and Chickasha, Oklahoma before returning to Anadarko in 1969. Louise was the secretary of the president of Western Farmers when she retired in 1998 after 31 years with the company. In 2012, following the death of Doyle, Louise returned to Cleveland where she has continued to reside.

Louise always enjoyed going shopping, watching the Oklahoma City Thunder and University of Oklahoma sports.

Survivors are her sister June Porter of Mannford, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Louise was preceded in death by her husband Doyle G. Mills, six siblings Marvin Wilcoxson, Netta Williams, Bill Wilcoxson, Willard Wilcoxson, James N Wilcoxson and Alvera Davidson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Davis officiating. Family has requested memorial donations be made in honor of Louise to the Cleveland Meals on Wheels. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery with Chapman-Black Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
