Marcia Lynn Hill was born September 6, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Sammy Dale and Islarae Dobson Ford. She moved with her family at the age of five to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she attended elementary and junior high school. In 1969, Marcia moved with her family to the Keystone area and attended school in Cleveland. They later moved to Cleveland and Marcia graduated from Cleveland High School in 1974. While residing in Cleveland, Marcia attended the First Christian Church.

Upon graduation from high school, Marcia attended Tulsa Junior College for two years. While attending college, Marcia worked at Ramona's Flowers in Cleveland as a floral designer and sales clerk. She later accepted employment as a floor sales manager for Semones Lighting in Tulsa. Marcia was employed there for over fifteen years and was extremely knowledgeable in electrical wiring and lighting installation.

Marcia was married to Ron Hill on April 15, 1991 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The coupled resided all their married life in Tulsa except for the past month when they moved to Broken Arrow. Marcia was medically retired from her position with Semones Lighting in 1996 due to complication of arthritis. She was an avid gardener and spent countess hours on her flower garden and her plants. She was a person that could definitely be described as having a green thumb with plants.

Marcia passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of forty-five years, five months and seventeen days. She was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Dale Ford; brother, Scott Douglas Ford; and a nephew, Selby Dustin Ford.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Ron Hill, of the home; daughter, Cassandra Goldsworthy, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two stepson, Clay Hill and Cole Hill, both of Stillwell, Oklahoma; mother and step-father, Islarae and Bill Cox of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother and his wife, Steve and Jean Ford of Enid, Oklahoma; two step-brothers and their wives, Gary and Debbie Cox of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Bobby and Tracy Cox of Cleveland, Oklahoma; niece, Nicole Fisher of Sperry, Oklahoma and a nephew, Bryce Landon Ford of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February, 27, 2002 at the Chapel of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Rev. George Boston officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
