Lottie Louise McKinney, known to her family and friends and Louise passed from this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 95 years.
Louise was born October 23, 1922, in Webber Falls, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Daniel Silas and Georgia Ann (Price) Bledsoe. As a young girl Louise attended and completed her education in Webber Falls. Later on August 4, 1940, Louise was united in marriage to Harold Rudolph McKinney. The couple made their initial home in Cleveland later moving to the Terlton Area. In 1953, Louise and Ralph moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. During that time Louise began working as a sales clerk of J.C. Penny’s at their downtown location. Later in the 1960’s, Louise and Ralph moved to Broken Arrow. At that time Louise gained employment with Enterprise Photos. Louise worked in the lab of the operation as well as worked as a photo touchup artist. Following the death of Ralph in 1992, Louise moved to Gans, Oklahoma to be closer to her daughter. In 2013, Louise returned to Broken Arrow where she has continued to reside.
Louise enjoyed growing flowers, working in the garden, making ceramics and crocheting. She also liked cooking for others especially desserts like pecan pies and chocolate cakes. Louise enjoyed visiting Branson and attending music shows. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors include her three children Shirley Brannon of Gans, Oklahoma, Jerry McKinney of Foyil, Oklahoma, Butch McKinney of Broken Arrow; grandchildren Gina Smith, Regina Smith and her husband Kenny, Rebecca Wilsie, Stacy McKinney, Dana Parkerson; nine great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph McKinney, her parents, her grand-daughter Tonya McKinney, and many siblings.
Cemetery Committal Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Ken Engledow officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home or online at www.chapman-black.com.
