Lola Grace Norton passed away on Tuesday evening, January 17, 2017, at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years old.

Lola was born on November 14, 1942, in Osage, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Archie Burl Clifford and Faye (Dampf) Ditto. Lola was raised and received her education in Osage, Oklahoma where she graduated with the Class of 1960. During her time in high school, Lola was a member of the basketball team and one of the best there has been. Lola scored more points than all the other teams combined they competed against. She also received a scholarship for her abilities at Northeastern State. In July of 1961 in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the First Baptist Church; Lola was united in marriage to the love of her life, Riley Ellis Norton. Following the couple's marriage, Lola and Riley made their home in Cleveland. In 1969, she began working at Safeway until 1982. She began working for her sister Carol at American Medical Supply in 1987 until they sold the operation in 1995.

Lola was a lady that loved life; always enjoyed being around others and having a good time. She also enjoyed watching her two grandsons play baseball and excelling in their endeavors. Lola loved to cook, always making sure those that came to her home was always full when they left. Lola was very devoted to her church and loved being around her church family. Lola and Riley were currently attending the Wayside Chapel in Terlton.

Survivors are her loving husband Riley of the home, two sons Todd Norton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Toby Norton and his wife Renee of Denton, Texas; sister Carol Upshaw of Cleveland, Oklahoma; grandson Riley Norton and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Brock Norton, brothers Jack Ditto and John Ditto and a sister Ruth.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Willis Morgan, Marty Brock and Don Tyler officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
