Lois S Cope

Lois S. Cope passed away on Sunday April 10, 2011 in Farmington, New Mexico at the age 93 years seven months and five days. Lois was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on September 5, 1917 to John Wesley and Lula (Sightler) Still. Lois was married to Quincy Lawrence Cope on April 13, 1940. They were the parents of one daughter, Terri, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 20, 1959. Lois and Quincy lived in Cleveland, until July 1961, when they moved to Aztec, New Mexico. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Cleveland for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Quincy, sister Ethyl Still, Jewell Still and her brother J.W. Still. Left to mourn are her daughter, Terri Cope of Henderson, Nevada and a grandson Alex Childers of Farmington, New Mexico as well as other relatives and friends. Services were held on Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held privately in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
