Linda Lou Smith

Linda Lou Smith, 54, passed from this life February 24, 2019, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Born July 8, 1964, in Goshen, Indiana, Linda was the daughter of Jacob Menno and Sandra Simon (Wagoner) Kauffman. During her childhood, she attended the Worldwide Church of God in Illinois. Following her education, she met the love of her life, Tony Smith, and they married later in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They were together for 35 years at the time of her passing.

Linda was always “talking” about something, discussing life’s problems. She was described as a person who wanted to help. When she wasn’t working at the Hickory House, she was passing the time watching the grandkids grow, she was very family oriented. Swimming, spending time with her brothers, watching movies (especially Adam Sandler movies) and watching soap operas were some other things she did.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tony, of the home; daughter, Ashley Smith of Cleveland, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kaylee, Emileigh and Levi; and 5 siblings, Connie Kauffman of Maryville, Tennessee, Sherie Garret of Zephyhills, Florida, Jon Kauffman of Rantoul, Illinois, James Kauffman of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Matthew Kauffman of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 1st, 2019 at 2pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland, Oklahoma following her cremation. Chapman-Black Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be extended to the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
