Linda C. Hilligoss was born November 6, 1945 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma the daughter of Helen Clyde Daniel and Maxine (Campbell) Horn. As a young girl Linda grew up and attended elementary school at Mark Twain and later graduated from Charles Page High School in 1964. Soon after high school Linda began working at Billís T Record Shop in Sand Springs. On February 21, 1966, Linda was united in marriage to Orvan William Hilligoss in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their initial home in Sand Springs where they continued to reside until 1986. At that time they moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma at Nortonís Corner. Linda and Orvan sold their property and moved back to West Tulsa in 1996. At that time they began working for the Corp of Engineers in Barnsdall at Birch Lake during the summers working the gate. They later began working at Oolagah Lake then at Keystone Lake at Feyodi and later at Washington Irving. Linda and Orvan were currently at Ft. Gibson Lake at Flat Rock as gate attendants.

Mrs. Hilligoss, passed away June 3, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years 6 months and 27 days. She was preceded in death by father and one son Orvan W. Hilligoss III.

Survived by her husband of over 41 years Orvan, of the home; two children Julie Alcorn and her husband Walter of Jenks, Oklahoma; Shawn Hilligoss and his wife Brandi of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; mother Maxine Horn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister Lanette Horn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Shelby and Shawn Garrison, Dylan and Derek Garrison all of Jenks, Oklahoma; Chelsea and Jordan Hilligoss, Christopher Bryant all of Sand Springs, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shawn and Shelby Garrison, Keith and Darrell Hilligoss, Robbie and Mike Bartlett, and Dylan and Derek Garrison as honorary pallbearers.

Graveside services will be held June 7, 2007 at 2:30 pm at Woodland Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Steve Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
