Services for Lee Andrew Crosson of Meeker, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 29, 2003 in the Woodland Cemetery Chapel with Dr. Larry Wilson officiating burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Lee Crosson, was born July 21, 1950 in Stanford, Texas to the parents Donald and Betty Bernita (Crider) Crosson. As a young boy, Lee grew up attending grammar school in Oilton, Oklahoma. The family also lived in the Mannford and Okemah area.

On May 13, 1969 Lee joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served several tours of duty with Troop ìAî 2nd Squadron 1st Cavalry of the 2nd Armored Division. During those tours he received the follow commendations and medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Sharpshooter for the M-60, Marksman Rifle and the Army Commendation Medal. May 12, 1971 Lee received an honorable discharge from the United States Army.

Upon his return to the United States Lee worked at several places and soon found employment as a police officer with the Prague Police Department in Prague, Oklahoma. He remained with the Prague Police Department for over seven years. He then accepted employment at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. While employed with Tinker Air Force Base Lee worked on the electrical systems on the AWAC Airplanes. Lee was currently employed with Tinker Air Force Base and had been there for over 20 years.

When Lee had spare time he loved to fish, watch football and was a avid Oklahoma University Fan.

Lee passed away October 26, 2003 at his home in Meeker, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years 3 months and 5 days. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, dad, and a brother Richard.

Surviving are his son Christopher Crosson of Prague, Oklahoma; mother, Betty Crosson of Tuttle, Oklahoma; sisters, Barbara Blunk of Tuttle, Oklahoma; Brenda Walkup of Okemah, Oklahoma a half sister Patricia Bilyeu of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Roberts, Steve Foster, Johnny Delong, Robert Crider, Donald Crider, and David Walkup.
