Kenneth Lowe

Kenneth Lowe, known to his friends and family as "Doc," passed from this life on May 13, 2023, at the age of 81, at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Doc was born on January 26, 1942, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, the son of Frank Lowe and Eula (Jones) Lowe. Kenneth attended school in Hallett and then completed his high school in Cleveland, graduating with the Class of 1960. Following high school Doc joined the United States Air Force stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton, Florida. During their time in Florida, he was introduced to Linda Huhn on a blind date. The couple was later united in marriage on June 12, 1964, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Following his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, Doc and Linda moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. Doc gained employment with C.E. Natco in Sand Springs, where he worked for nearly 19 years when they closed the facility. Doc then began working for A-Lert Construction Services as a welder traveling throughout the United States, making repairs on industrial plants. Doc also worked as a private oil and gas operator in Osage and Rogers County for over 45 years.

Doc enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, running trot lines, and raising Sun Conures and Cockatiels. Yearly trips to Destin, Florida, for the "Fishing Rodeo," where he won several trophies over the years. Doc also enjoyed hanging out at Highway 11 Oil Field Supply and Prairie Supply in Hominy with his friends. He always felt that he had many accomplishments because he helped numerous people make a living in the welding, construction, and oil and gas production business. Doc was also an ammunition and weapons specialist and designed numerous modifications for equipment, making them more efficient.

Doc was always a practical joker. Playing tricks or "pulling the wool over their eyes" was something he enjoyed doing. He had a passion for conservatism and telling others the truth. Doc liked helping others and teaching them things he knew and never quit when something went wrong. He has stated that his fondest memories are "Being alive and doing what he did."

Survivors are his wife Linda of the home; two children Marnida Armbruster and her husband Charlie of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Steven McCoy and his spouse Regina Baker of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two sisters Donna Berg of Honolulu, Hawaii, Lois Lane Lowe-Bradford of Citrus Heights, California, three grandchildren Brandy Steiner, Jessie McCoy, Kenneth McCoy, and six great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Doc was preceded in death by one sister Gladys Sandifer.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Chapman Black Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be held later in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma.
