Kenneth James Haney, Sr.

Kenneth James Haney, Sr., better known as Bubba to his friends and family passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age 42. Kenneth was born March 16, 1966 in Los Angeles, California the son of James William and Patricia Ann (Cunningham) Haney. As a young man Bubba was raised and received his education in Los Angeles attending Norwalk High School. At the completion of his education Bubba moved with his family to Winterville, Mississippi. He gained employment in the agriculture business driving a cotton stripper. After several years working on the farm he moved back to California. Upon his return Bubba accepted a position with Alliant Food Service as a route delivery man. On April 3, 1988 he was united in marriage to Cassandra Nell Cook. The couple established their initial home in Long Beach, California. In the early 1990ís they moved to Yuba City, California and in 2001 they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2003, Bubba and Cassandra moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma where they have continued to reside. Bubba enjoyed building model cars and drawing automobiles. He also enjoyed watching football with his family and friends. He had a jolly personality and loved encouraging everyone to be their best. Bubba cherished the time he spent with his wife and children and visiting with friends. He also enjoyed cooking and will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife Cassandra of the home, three children James Haney of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Kenneth Haney Jr. of Mannford, Oklahoma and Matthew Haney of the home; parents James and Patricia Haney of Oilton, Oklahoma; one brother Ryan Haney of Oilton, Oklahoma; an uncle Jim Cunningham of Drumright, Oklahoma, aunt Linda Hammond of Mannford, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends that mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Margaret and Leonard Cunningham as well as paternal grandparents Bedford and Willie Mae Haney. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahís Witnesses in Cleveland with Marcus Perryman officiating. The body was cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
