Kenneth A. Danley

Kenneth Arlon Danley, 59, passed from this life on September 28, 2018, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born in Mississippi on October 2, 1958, to Roger A. and Claire (Cook) Danley Mayson. While attending school in Mobile, he played football, which he also enjoyed watching throughout his life. He completed 11 years of school before entering the workforce. Whether he was welding or moving mobile homes, he always worked hard.

Kenneth was married twice. In union with his first wife, Debbie, there came two children; Kenneth Arlon Jr. and Sherry Michelle. He later wed Alice Ann, who remained united in marriage till his passing. Throughout life, in every town he traveled to, it was said he always made a friend. Kenneth believed in the good Lord. A story he once told, he was walking along a railroad track and fell. If God had not been there, he believed that he would not have survived.

His fondest memories though were the birth of his children and working on cars. Country and western music, specifically Alan Jackson and Craig Morgan, was his favorite to listen to.

Kenneth wishes he would have spent less time sleeping, more time cutting grass and peddling around fixing motors. Before he passed, Kenneth hoped he would have made it “home” one more time to momma. He loved to help his momma with things she needed to be done around the house.

Surviving Kenneth is his mother, his children, brother Roger Danley, and sister Babs Danley. Also, surviving Kenneth are his dearest friends; R.D. and Sandra McGahagin as well as uncle Lenard W. Cook, niece Briana V. Danley and nephew Tyler C. Danley. Preceding him in death are his father, aunt Linda Danley, and grandparents David B. & Stella Cook.

Following Kenneth’s cremation, he will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Arrangements for his burial are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Condolences can be extended to the family at www.chapman-black.com
