Juanita Faye Reeves was born December 4, 1921 in Terlton, Oklahoma to Martin and Greta Faye (Young) Florer. The oldest of three girls, Juanita was raised in Terlton and received her education there. Juanita traveled to the states of Colorado and Washington as a young woman but always returned to the Cleveland ñ Terlton area. She worked at at Katieís 64 CafÈ for a number of years at various times. Later under the tutelage of the late Drs. Reimer, Hanson, and Saddoris; Juanita worked in the medical field and was one of the first employees of the Cleveland Area Hospital. Nursing seemed to be Juanitaís calling. She was employed by the Hominy Hospital and later with the Tulsa City-County Health Department and the Creek County Health Departments as a Home Health Aid. In the mid-70ís she worked at the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa.

After almost 30 Years in the medical field, Juanita looked for a different vocation. She was employed by the Quaker Inn as Manager, then moved on to manage the College Park Apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma until 1988 when she and Tommy moved back to Cleveland for retirement. After Tommyís retirement he became an avid Bluegrass Festival fan and it was contagious. Juanita would stock the travel trailer and away they would go sometimes for up to a month at a time. In addition to enjoying the Bluegrass Festivals, Juanita enjoyed working in the yard and reading.

Her husband Tommy preceded her in death on February 3, 1998. In addition to her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Purvines; sister May Dell Dawson and great-grandson Colton Stites.

Juanita passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Broken Arrow Nursing Home at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 22 days. She is survived by one daughter and her husband Christine and Floyd Stites of Tulsa; one sister Pat Tilley of Yale; 5 grandchildren, Diana Bateson of Perry, Bill McAngus of Pauls Valley, Kathy Gravesof Wynnewood, Grant Stites and Keith Stites of Tulsa; 9 Great-grandchildren, Mikel and Jennifer Bateson, Katie Johnson, Lora Graves, Mathew McAngus, Kaitlyn Stites, Brendan, Ethan and McKinley Stites, and her beloved Yorkie ñ Tinker; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M, Friday March 3, 2006 at the Terlton Cemtery in Terlton, Oklahoma with Rev. Tim Pitts officiating under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
