Juanita Marie Madewell

Juanita Marie Madewell, a life long resident of Jennings was born December 30, 1924, in Jennings, Oklahoma to William Franklin and Flossie Mae (Skelton) Garton. As a young girl Juanita grew up and attended school in Jennings where she later graduated. On April 18, 1943, Juanita was united in marriage to Joe William Madewell in Cleveland, Oklahoma. They established their initial home in Jennings, Oklahoma. Juanita helped Joe on the ranch tending to cattle and making repairs to the farm when needed.

Juanita enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her nephew, nieces, family and friends. She passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Mannford, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 3 months and 26 days. Juanita was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Joe on March 24, 1997; two brothers Billy and Lee Roy Garton.

Surviving are her nieces, Billie and husband Lee Burgess of Mannford, Oklahoma; Patricia Lantz of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; nephew, Bob and wife Linda Garton of Jennings, Oklahoma; three great nephews, three great nieces, seven great great nephews, two great great nieces as well as other relatives and friends.
