John Matthew Mullins

John Matthew Mullins, 20, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed from this life on March 21, 2020.

Matthew was born on April 16, 1999, in Tulsa. He is the son of James Mitchell and Barbara Danielle (LaMascus) Mullins. Matthew attended school in Hominy, Oklahoma, graduating with the Class of 2017. During his time in school, Matthew was active in football and baseball as well as a member of the 2016 State Championship Team. Following high school, Matthew worked for the City of Hominy and was currently employed with Air-on Heating and Cooling in Cleveland.

Matthew enjoyed fishing, being with his friends, and, most of all, spending time with his son Keegan. Some of his favorite places to eat were Buffalo Wild Wings, Mexican food as well as Chinese food. Matthew also had a smile that warmed your heart. Matthew always enjoyed listening to music, especially rap and country.

Survivors include his son Keegan James Mullins, parents Jim and Dani Mullins of Hominy, Oklahoma; one brother Daniel James Mullins of Hominy, Oklahoma; paternal grandparents John and Jann Mullins of Jenks, Oklahoma; nephew Asher Mullins of Cleveland, Oklahoma, niece Olivia Mullins of Cleveland, Oklahoma, numerous other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents O.C. and Donna LaMascus.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, March 27, 2020, at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery Chapel. The family has requested memorial donations be made in honor of Matthew for his son Keegan at the Hominy First National Bank. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
