Jerrie Lee Ledbetter went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, August 16, 2015, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.    Jerrie was born May 31, 1939, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of Wallace Friend and Edith (Warden) Friend.  Jerrie was raised in Cleveland where she began her education.  She later graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1957.  Following high school Jerri was united in marriage to Omer F. Ledbetter in Cleveland.  The couple established their initial home in Cleveland and later moved to Mannford, Oklahoma in 1964.  During their time in Mannford Jerrie and Omer were active members of the Mannford Assembly of God Church.  In 1994, Jerrie and Omer moved to Tulsa and then later in 1999, to Bixby where they have continued to reside.   After completing high school Jerrie attended school at Draughons Business College.  During the time Jerrie and Omer resided in Mannford, she worked at Cimarron Telephone for nearly five years.  Jerrie has also worked at Mapco, OneOk, Cayman Resource and Thompson Oil Company; before returning to college at Tulsa Community College.  While attending TCC, Jerrie obtained her degree as a registered Nurse.  Upon her graduation Jerrie accepted employment at St. Francis Hospital where she worked for over 15 years as a surgical nurse.  Following retirement she was hired as an instructor of nursing at Tulsa Vo-Tech.   Jerrie enjoyed scrap booking spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  Jerrie and Omer enjoyed traveling.  They have traveled throughout the United States, Canada as well as Mexico together.  Her favorite place to go was to the Northeast especially New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.  Jerrie was formerly the president and vice president for the Women's Ministry of Mannford Assembly of God for many years.  Jerrie was currently a member of the Carbondale Assembly of God Church. Survivors are her husband Omer of the home, three sons James E. Ledbetter of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Joel W. Ledbetter and his wife Shelia of Coweta, Oklahoma, Jason F. Ledbetter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; half brother John Friend of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister Marietta Davis of Stillwater, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Jedidiah J. Ledbetter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica S. Stafford of Mounds, Oklahoma, Jared H. Ledbetter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sarah Ullrich of Coweta, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren Oscar, Sullivan, Avery and Jackson Ledbetter.  Jerrie was preceded in death by her father Wallace Friend; mother Edith Mae Richardson and great grand parents, Julius and Mary Friend who raised Jerrie. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Carbondale Assembly of God Church with Rev. Phil Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.  Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
