Jeffrey Clayton Price

Jeffrey Clayton Price, age 40, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2005. Jeff was born on January 3, 1965 at Sapulpa, Oklahoma to J. C. and Toni Price.

He was raised two and a half miles east of Jennings, attending school there through the eight grade and graduating high school at Mannford Christian School in 1983.

On August 27, 1983 he married the love of his life, Holly Kinyon, also of Jennings at the Grace Gospel Church by Rev. Don Roberts, in Jennings. Thy enjoyed fifteen happy years together making their home in Jennings, before ending in divorce in August 1998. Two children were born to this union, Joshua Clayton Price, born November. 10, 1985 and Candace Janette Price, born August 19, 1994. They faithfully attended church at United Pentecostal Church at Prattville with Rev. Dan Switzer.

Jeff was employed with Charlie Dell Oilfield Service in 1984 and 1985. He worked for five years east of Dog Center for HJD Gas Systems. In 1993 he began work as a cement finisher for B J Kinyon Construction in Tulsa until 1997.

He was gifted with a variety of talents and was able to accomplish anything with his hands which included carpentry, mechanics and sewing projects. He had a quick and clever mind and endless enthusiasm and energy. He single-handedly turned a little one room house into a six room distinctively charming home for his family. He was a cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. A loyal husband and loving father. Following his divorce, Jeff suffered from debilitating depression in which he was unable to overcome. He was a compassionate, sensitive and caring person who never had a bad word for anyone. He could not tolerate the malice, cruelties and injustices man perpetuates on each other.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Albert Tilley; great-grandmother, Faye Florer, both of Terlton; paternal grandparents, James and Ola Price of Jennings.

Jeff is survived by his parents and children, two brothers, Joe Price of Jennings and James Price of Tulsa; and a host of other relative and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
