Jeffery Scott Taplin

In Portland, Maine, Jeffrey Scott Taplin was born April 9, 1968, the son of Neal William, Jr, and Nancy Jeannette (Heikken) Taplin. He departed this life on November 12, 2021, at the age of 53.

Jeff graduated from Falmouth High School with the Class of 1985. He attended college at the University of Southern Maine. He raised his two sons Tyler and Jacob Taplin, who he loved dearly. In 1996, Jeff began working for Wright Express in Portland, Maine. In 1999, Jeff started B2B Explores and was the President and co-founder. It was a global network marketing and community platform for small and medium-sized companies to sell and market manufactured products and goods. He had over 15 years of sales and marketing experience as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. For a short time, he also developed long-term visions and strategies for the product manufacture at Geiger in Maine. Jeff provided support and training for his team and other outside sales partners. On August 12, 2017, at The Little Church House in Windham, Maine, he was married to Anna Marie Mercer. Shortly after their marriage, Jeff and Anna moved to Oklahoma. In 2019, Jeff began working for DitchWitch in Perry until he accepted his position with Central Tech in Drumright as their Marketing Coordinator. Then in 2021, Jeff started working for Amazon in Tulsa, where he was currently employed.

Jeff enjoyed saltwater, freshwater, and fly fishing, as well as hiking, camping, and landscaping. He was moved by "The Challenge" of making complicated things look pretty and easy. He often stated that we can all accomplish all great things if we have the desire and passion to do so. As well as there are no obstacles in life, just challenges of varying degrees, none of which are insurmountable. Jeff and Anna liked being outdoors singing in the rain together and building woodwork projects. That is how they enjoyed quality time together. One of their favorite places was Way Park in Drumright, and also going for walks. Jeff would often stop and pick flowers for Anna on the roadsides, writing love notes and placing them in various places. Jeff and Anna were members of the Oak Hill Church in Terlton.

Survivors include his wife Anna of the home, two sons Tyler and Jacob Taplin; five stepchildren Audrianna Mercer, Eugene Martineau, Zechariah Martineau, Andrew Martineau, Nathaniel Mercer; three siblings Tim Taplin, Terri Taplin, Jon Taplin, one granddaughter Chloe Taplin; nieces and nephews Jessica, Matthew, Antonio, Harrison, Joseph, Phoebe and a host of other relatives and friends.
