Norma Jean Deshazo, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life Monday, July 25, 2011 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jean was born in Hugo, Oklahoma the daughter of John Franklin and Myrtle (Fuller) Hanselman. Jean was raised in the Hugo area where she began her education. Following her graduation from high school Jean worked at the local ice house. Jean was united in marriage on May 7, 1949 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Wooldridge Charles Deshazo. After their marriage the couple resided in Shreveport and Vivian, Louisiana before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1959. Jean later gained employment with Brawley Rents a medical rental company. In 1965, she began working as the office manager for Able Rents where she worked until her retirement in 1973. Following retirement Jean has continued to reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeanís life revolved around tending to her husband Charles and her daughter Tami. Jean often referred to how much she enjoyed playing bridge when she was younger. She is described as a very private, determined and sweet individual. Jean spent many hours listening to her favorite news broadcaster Nancy Grace who is known for her high profile interviews. Survivors are her one daughter Tambra Bowman and her husband Mickey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, granddaughter Susan Schmidt and her husband Chris of Tulsa, Oklahoma their daughters Kegan, Kinderson, Kortlin, Kersten and a great grandson Josh Murders, niece Mary Krammer of Hugo, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wooldridge Charles Deshazo, two brothers John Noble Hanselman and Lois Hanselman a sister Mae Martello as well as a grandson Kelly Bowman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma. Burial will follow under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
