Jackie Aaron Daugherty, 65, of Cleveland, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jackie was born April 26, 1951, in Hominy, Oklahoma. He was the son of Andrew Jackson and Billie LaDema (Richards) Daugherty. Jack was raised and received his education in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He was very active in sports during his time in school, especially basketball. He graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1969. Following high school, Jack later joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Yuma, Arizona. After he was medically discharged, his work career took him to various locations in Texas, Louisiana and the Pacific Northwest. Jack would later gain employment with Motorola as a salesman in the Washington and Oregon regions and returned to Oklahoma in the early 2000’s.

Jack was very jovial and loved to visit with his friends. He was also a very avid and staunch Sooner fan for many years.

Survivors are his two sons, Cody Daugherty of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Colin Daugherty of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother Richard “Dick” Daugherty of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren Cambree Daugherty, Kemper Daugherty, Lynken Daugherty, one niece Shea Sullivan; one nephew Clay Daugherty, both of Houston, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his loving parents Jack and Billie Daugherty.

Following cremation, the cremated remains will be placed in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com
