Jackie Edward McIntire, 87, passed away August 20th, 2019 at his home in Mannford, OK. Jack was born February 6, 1932 in Pinehill OK. The family moved to Mannford in 1942. He graduated from Mannford High School in 1948.

Jack was married to Peggy Hinton on June 15th, 1951, 68 years of marriage. Jack and Peggy had 4 children: Judy Madewell who passed away in 2010, Jackie Lou McIntire who passed away in 1956, Janet Prewitt(Donnie) of Jenks OK and Mac McIntire of Mannford OK. They have 4 grandchildren: Chad Porter of Wichita KS, Shane Porter(Kim) of Mannford OK, Amanda Bowling of Jenks OK and Macy McIntire of Hominy OK. Four great grandchildren: Kiley Porter of Bristow Ok, Carson Porter of Mannford OK, Lexi Bowling of Jenks OK and Amelia Stevens of Hominy OK.

Jack was the second of 10 children born to William and Opal McIntire. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sister Barbara McIntire, Brothers: Bill McIntire(Dorothy), Charlie McIntire(Nancy), John McIntire(Judy). Surviving sisters include: Colleen Wilkerson(Phil), Donna Alkire, Melba Sudar(Ken), Lois McClain, Glenda Davis, Sheri Wood(Nathan) and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his best friend, Don Frailey and his sons Justin and Tyler.

Jack graduated from Oklahoma State University and is a proud OSU Alumni. He worked as an Accountant for Haliburton Oil Company until the family moved to Mannford to take over the Mannford Trading Company from his mother and father-in-law, Les and Juanita Hinton whom he dearly loved. He owned Mini Mac convenience stores until his retirement.

He loved his family so much and felt that family was everything. He also has a great love for his church family at First Baptist Church of Mannford.

Services for Jack will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 – 10:00am at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Clayton Paslay and Rev. Dale Gowdy officiating in Mannford, Oklahoma and he will be interred at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. You may share a memory at www.chapman-black.com. In lieu of flowers you can donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Mannford Food For Kids Backpack Program in Memory of Jack.
