Helen Rose Brisbin passed from this life on Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years two months and twenty nine days. Helen was born February 15, 1929 in Osage, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Paul Tipp and Oakley (Napier) Herr. As a young girl Helen was raised in Osage where she later graduated high school. Growing up in Osage, Helen always referred to that as the ìhappiest times of her life.î On July 12, 1950, Helen was united in marriage to Willard Brisbin and following marriage they established their home in Cleveland. Helen soon accepted employment as a clerk at the Rexall Drug Store where she worked for several years. Then in the early 1960ís, Helen began helping her family at the Ranchero CafÈ. Helen helped them with the local establishment until 1974, when she began working at the school cafeteria. Several years later Helen gained employment with Wal-Mart and later managed the snack bar for a couple of years before she retired. Helen loved to go driving; many times just around town to see what was going on. She also enjoyed going to play bingo. Helen always looked forward to Spring time; as she was able to spend many evenings on her porch watching the baseball games. Survivors are her son and his wife Paul and Mona Brisbin of Cleveland, Oklahoma; three grandsons Paul Brisbin of Prattville, Oklahoma, Jared and his wife Karin Brisbin of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Jacob and his wife Stephani Brisbin of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one great granddaughter Averi, sister in law Eve Lois Brisbin Weldon of Cleveland, Oklahoma, nephew David Guinn, two nieces Karen Rye Gray and Kathy Guinn and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded by father her Paul Herr, mother Oakley Herr, husband Willard Brisbin, two sisters Mary Guinn, Dorothy Rye and a great grandson Cooper Shay Brisbin Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Woodland Cemetery followed by a memorial service at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
