Harold Dean Armstrong Sr. passed from this life on August 29, 2021, at the age of 76 in Chautauqua, Kansas.

Dean was born on September 1, 1944, in Russell, Kansas; the son of Elmer Henry and Myrtle Velva (Anthony) Armstrong. Dean grew up and attended school in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. In 1962, Dean joined the U.S. Army. He served three years in Ft. Benning, Aberdeen and Korea during his time. In 1965, Dean was honorably discharged. Following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army Dean returned to Oklahoma and began working as a carpenter in the Tulsa area. In 1966, Dean was united in marriage to Hazel Louise Harvey, on July 1, 1967, in Nowata, Oklahoma. In the mid 1970's Dean moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma gaining employment with the City of Cleveland. Following the death of Wheezer his first wife, Dean was united in marriage to Marsha Lynne Ehrmantraut in 1988; later after having children, in 2001 they divorced. In 1995, Dean retired from the City of Cleveland and was the Gas Superintendent. Dean also served on the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Fighter. On June 16, 2001, Dean married Helen Sinclair in 2009, they divorced.

Dean enjoyed playing his guitar with a cold beer and listening to music. Going out on drives in his truck was also things he enjoyed doing. His grandchildren were always the highlight of his day.

Survivors are his children Kevin Kent of San Marcos, Texas, Deidre Timmons of Beggs, Oklahoma, Deasha Hopkins of Chautauqua, Kansas, Buddy Armstrong of Marshall, Missouri, Justin Armstrong of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Isaac Armstrong of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters Pat Gamble of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Pauline Collins of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Peggy Elliott of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; one brother Jim Armstrong; seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Harold was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Lousie "Wheezer", twin brother Garold Gene Armstrong, Carl Henry Armstrong, Pansy Lee Wiggs, Phyllis Jean Bolen and a son Harold Jr.
