Glenda D. Fisher passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age 48 years, three months and sixteen days. Glenda was born October 20, 1964, in Graham, Texas. She was the daughter of Glen Dale and Darlene (Burge) Carnely. As a young girl Glenda was raised in Graham, Texas. At the age of eleven, Glenda moved with her family to Mineral Wells where she graduated with the Class of 1982. In 1984, Glenda was united in marriage to Kenneth Lawrence Fisher at the Oak Hill Church in Terlton, Oklahoma. The couple established their initial home in Graham until June of 1985. At that time Kenneth joined the United States Navy. Following the completion of his basic training Glenda and Kenneth moved to Charleston, South Carolina where they remained until 1990. During her time in Charleston, Glenda returned to school and attended culinary school; they later moved to Pensacola, Florida. In 1995, Glenda and Kenneth moved to Norfolk, Virginia. In 1997, Kenneth was discharged from the United States Navy and the couple moved to Hominy, Oklahoma. Upon their return to Oklahoma Glenda gained employment with the Gatesway Foundation where she worked as a habilitation specialist. In 2000, Glenda and Kenneth moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. During her time in Cleveland, Glenda also worked for the Community Service Center. Glenda worked for CSC until she was forced to retire due to health reasons. Glenda and Kenneth had been currently living in Lawton, Oklahoma since August of 2012 Glenda was a University of Oklahoma fan. She never missed a game and was an avid supporter. She also enjoyed going to the casinos when she was able. Glenda loved to go shopping especially for her children and grandchildren. Glenda enjoyed life fully and during the holidays would always decorate accordingly. She also loved her job working with her clients and even bringing them to her house during the holidays or taking them for outings. Glenda always looked forward to retiring and returning to Pensacola, Florida. Most of all Glenda enjoyed spending her time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Survivors are her Kenneth of the home, four children Justin Todd Fisher and his wife Tina of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Nina Elizabeth Fisher and her husband Joey Moore of Yale, Oklahoma, Kendra Lynn Fisher of Yale, Oklahoma, Kenneth Bryan Fisher and Cassandra of Cleveland, Oklahoma; mother Darlene Lovern of Mineral Wells, Texas, one brother Robert Dale Carnley and his wife Sharon of Mineral Wells, Texas; nine grandchildren Zayne, Landon, Ethan, Austin, Scotty, Kadence, Raevin, Kyson, Rivar. She was preceded in death by father Glen Dale Carnely, one brother Boyd Leon ìBubbaî Carnley. Chapel services will be held 3:30 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. The body will be cremated and entombed in the Fisher Cemetery near Bryant, Oklahoma at a later date.
