Funeral services for Glena Pauline Patterson, 88, of Cleveland, Oklahoma, will be 12:00 pm, Monday June 18, 2018, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor Willis Morgan officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
Glena was born October 30, 1929, in Garden City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ben Frank and Gertie Frank Wallace. Glena grew up and attended school and later graduated from Garden City. On February 15, 1948, Glena was united in marriage to Robert Patterson. The couple established their home in Garden City until 1972. At that time the couple moved to Okmulgee and later moved to Cleveland where she has continued to reside. Glena worked as a beautician and operated her own shop for many years.
Glena loved boating and fishing. Her and Bob traveled extensively for many years in their motorhome often traveling to prime fishing places. On their adventures you could guarantee that friends and family would be involved. Holidays were always at her home. You could guarantee that she would be the host of the event and everything would be spectacular. Glena also took great pride in her flower garden. She was one that always got the family reunions together and making sure they went off without a hitch. Following the death of her husband Bob, Glena began attending the Cleveland Senior Cititzens. She was grateful for the friendships she built and was able to play cards which she was very good at. If Glena had any unfinished business, it would have been to go fishing one more time.
Glena passed from this life on Friday, June 15, 2018, at her home in Cleveland.
Survivors are her childen Diana Schoenenberger of Keenesburg, Colorado, Dennis Patterson of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one sister Evelyn Philbrick of Houston, Texas, one grandchild and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Glena was preceded in death by her husband Bob; one son Terry Glen Patterson; seven sisters and two brothers.
