Frankie Bart Shockley passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013, at the Cleveland Area Hospital at the age of 62 years, ten months and twenty four days. Bart was born October 9, 1950 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He was the son of Frankie Douglas and Willena (Saulsbury) Shockley. Bart grew up in the Henryetta area where he attended school and later graduated with the Class of 1968. Bart was later united in marriage to the love of his life Connie Bernice Estridge on May 3, 1970. The couple later moved to El Dorado, Arkansas where Bart worked in the oil field. Bart was employment with Southern Perforating Inc. handling explosives as a well logger of over 16 years. After years in the oil field Bart and his family moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma where he accepted employment with Southwestern Motors in Tulsa In 2005, Bart began working at Wal-Mart in Cleveland where he worked as a janitor. Bart loved the time spent with his family especially when they were fishing and traveling. He also spent many hours wood working. Bart was truly a wonderful man that everyone respected. He spent many hours with his son Joel bonding and being a wonderful father. Bart and Joel spent many hours camping, hunting and fishing and doing many father and son activities. Survivors are his loving wife of over 43 years Connie of the home, five children Mary Jackson of Kansas, Darlene Green of Texas, Joel Shockley of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sara and Victoria Shockley both of Texas, one brother Richard K. Shockley of Eldorado, Arkansas, one sister Wilma Beene of Hampton, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Bart was preceded in death by two brothers Douglas Ray Shockley, Lloyd Wayne Shockley; two sisters Mary Jane Stogner and Betty Jo Lock. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 am in the sanctuary of the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. The body will be cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
