Frances Juanita Jackson

Frances Juanita Jackson, 82, resident of Keller, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband G. C. on July 3, 1992 after forty-seven years of marriage.

Frances was born August 3, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank and Rose Holt. She received her education in Tulsa as well as Cleveland, Oklahoma where she graduated in 1943. After her graduation Frances began working at Hagbergís Hardware Store in Cleveland. She was later united in marriage to G. C. Jackson, Jr. on June 10, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After their marriage Frances and G.C. made Cleveland their home for a short time before G.C. was transferred to Dallas, Texas. They remained in Dallas and was soon relocated to Odessa, Texas. In 1968 after the graduation of their son Richard they moved back to Dallas. In the early 1980ís after the retirement of G.C., Frances and G.C. built their home in Keller, Texas where Frances has lived the remainder of her life.

Frances loved to do crafts, ceramics, wood works as well as making ìGingerbread Menî. Frances would also spend countless hours working jig saw puzzles and tending to her numerous green plants. Frances and G.C. spent many days and nights traveling the U.S. in their motor home. They took over fourteen trips to Key West, Florida for their annual Christmas Tradition. Holidays were a special treat for Frances she would always decorate her home that would entice people from all over to drive by and visit in amazement. Frances continually adopted children by either mentoring, tutoring or by just being a mother and grandmother that they did not have. She also had an enthusiasm and love for animals as well as a great supporter of the SPCA of Texas. Most of all Frances had a passion for her Lord and church the First Baptist Church in Keller and Sunday School Class. Frances took into consideration everything that she did to make certain that she was doing what the Lord Jesus Christ wanted her to do throughout her life.

Surviving are her loving son Richard Jackson of Dallas, Texas as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Woodland Cemetery with Dick Risinger officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Keller, Texas.
