Eula Aetna Lowe

Eula Aetna Lowe was born June 3, 1905 in Bazaar, Kansas. She was the daughter of Albert Farrel and Cora Bell Jones. Eula moved with her family at an early age to property homesteaded by her family during the land run, near Ames, Oklahoma. Eula was raised near Ames and attended school there, graduating from Ames High School in 1923.

After completion of her education, Eula taught school in a one room school near Red Rock for a couple of years. She was married to Frank Lowe on January 7, 1926 in Enid, Oklahoma. The couple made their initial home near Breckenridge and then moved to Wagoner in 1939.

In 1946, the couple moved to a farm in rural Pawnee County near Hallett, Oklahoma. They farmed this parcel of land together for nearly fifty-two years until Frank passed away on February 24, 1998. Frank and Eula were active members of the Hallett Baptist Church for many years. Eula assisted him as he served as the Sunday School superintendent and as a teacher.

Eula dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and children. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eula was known throughout the area for providing fresh eggs to the community. She raised many chickens and sold the eggs to customers in Pawnee County.

Eula passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at her home at the age of ninety-eight years, ten months and fourteen days. In addition to her husband, Eula was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Allen Wayne Berg.

She is survived by four children, Donna Maria Berg of the home; Loislane Lowe of Citrus Heights, California, Gladys Ethel Sandifer of Jenning, Oklahoma and Kenneth George Lowe of Jennings, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister, Lola Wolfe of Maryville, Missouri.

No funeral services are planned. Eula was cremated and will be buried at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma, next to her husband.
