Elizabeth Noll Gifford was born October 25, 1930 in Stuttgart, Germany. She was the only child of Friedrich and Clara Maria Noll. Elizabeth was raised and attended school in the Stuttgart area, graduating from high school there. Upon completion of her high school education, Elizabeth attended college for nearly three years.

She moved to the United States in 1949 and established her home in the Tulsa area. She had three daughters, Gloria, Barbara and Carolyn. In 1961 , Elizabeth accepted employment at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She served as a dietary supervisor for the hospital for nearly thirty-four years, retiring in 1995.

Elizabeth was married to Robert D. Gifford on March 9, 1975 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The couple made their home between Cleveland and Mannford, near Terlton for the past twenty-eight years. For health reasons, Elizabeth has been residing with her daughter in Tulsa for the month preceding her death. She passed away on Friday, January 30, 2004 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of seventy-three years, three months and five days.

Elizabeth was a member of the Catholic faith. She loved vegetable gardening and also enjoyed canning. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Don of the home; three daughters, Gloria McCormick of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Barbara Campbell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Carolyn Rodebush-Walter of Perry, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Lisa Kurek of Valdosta, Georgia, Lori McCormick of Dallas, Texas, Julie Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Christopher Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amanda Rodebush-Shepard of Perry, Oklahoma and Eric Rodebush of Perry, Oklahoma; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 2, 2004 at the Oak hill Cemetery Chapel in Mannford with Father Martin Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the Oak hill Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
