Elizabeth Ann Shuck

Elizabeth Ann Shuck, 83, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Liz was born on February 20, 1936, in Picher, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clarence and Opal (Maudin) Hull. Liz attended school in Picher. Following the completion of her education, Liz was united in marriage on March 1, 1952, to Lee Roy Shuck in Bentonville, Arkansas. The couple established their first home in Picher before moving to Oregon. Liz and Roy remained in Oregon until 1965, at that time they moved to Owasso, Oklahoma. While in Owasso they purchased and operated Shuck’s Recreation Center. In the early 1970s, Liz and Roy purchased property on Keystone Lake in the Appalachia Bay area. The two worked tirelessly building and constructing their current home doing everything possible themselves. In the early 1990s, Roy retired from Sheffield Steel, and Liz decided it was time for her to work herself and started working at Coble’s Flower Shop in Sand Springs. This allowed her the opportunity to expand making crafts and sell them in the shop.

Liz and Roy enjoyed traveling. They took two trips to Alaska, one to Hawaii to see her sister as well as numerous times to Oregon visiting family and friends. Roy always had a large garden and would bring the fruits and vegetables in for Liz to can. During their time living in Oregon, the two got interested in Square Dancing. They carried on their tradition and were a part of the Pepper Stepper’s in Sand Springs for many years and the Rushing Stars during their Winters in Alamo, Texas. Liz had a dynamic personality and was always family oriented. They both loved any opportunity to play cards and board games especially SkipBo or Joker. Liz and Roy attended church at Keystone General Baptist Church for many years. Thanksgiving and Christmas times were very family oriented, and she loved the opportunity to cook for everyone that she loved dearly. Crafts were a big part of Liz’s spare time and filled her home with numerous painting and crafts throughout the years.

Survivors include her husband Roy of the home; four children Rickey Lee Roy Shuck of Philippines, Teri Suanne McCullar and her husband Mac of Stigler, Oklahoma, Cindy Jarvis and her husband Ray of Tulsa, Oklahoma, David Glen Shuck and his wife Lina of Mannford, Oklahoma; sister Peggy Myers of Roseburg, Oregon, Wanda Hill of Winston, Oregon, Ken Hull of Winston, Oregon, Marilyn Edwards of Hawaii; grandchildren Bailey Minihan, Tanner Shuck, Carly Shoemake, Dillon Wooten, Erick Jarvis, Mark Jarvis, Lacy McCullar; nine great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
