Effie Jane Bellamy, longtime resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed from this life to go be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the age of 85 years, nine months and twenty-four days old. Effie was born February 22, 1927, in Stephens, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Robert and Helen Mae (Scoggins) Trammell. As a young child Effie moved with her family to Washington State growing up in the Bellevue area. She was raised by her mother and father Joseph Alexander Fleury. Following the completion of her education and graduation from high school, Effie furthered her education at a local business college. Later on in life she obtained her culinary and health aide certification. She was married and soon moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the early 1950s. They remained in Phoenix until 1973, when they moved to Keystone Lake. In the recent years Effie moved to Cleveland where she has remained until her death. Effie was a very active person in the community. She was a part of the Garden Club, Red Cross Volunteer, Historical Society, and board member of the Cleveland Service Center for many years. She was also active on numerous committees at the churchís she attended. One of her favorites was the Relief Society which was very important to her. In the early 1950s, Effie was named Mrs. Seattle. Some of her talents include being a silver smith, gem collector as well as an artist. She painted many pieces with oil paint and enjoyed working with ceramics. Effie enjoyed visiting archeological sites and helped with several digs in Arizona and Oklahoma. Effie was currently attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Most of all in life Effie loved her family and friends very much and would help anyone in need. Survivors are her six children Michael Otte and his wife Pat of Aspen, Colorado, Mark Bellamy and wife Kathy of Houston, Texas, Claudia Goff and her husband King of Arkansas City, Kansas, Carrie Taylor and her husband Fred of Oolagah, Oklahoma, Candace Bellamy of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Constance Chiplock and her husband George of Washington, D.C.; two brothers Joseph Fleury of Washington, Willie Fleury of Washington, one sister Judith Joki of Washington, sister in law Georgia Fleury of Washington, 15 grandchildren Haley Goff, Emily Reynolds, Ross Goff, Michael Otte, William Otte, Kristen Bellamy, Abigail Taylor, Madison Taylor, Allee Taylor, Jake Taylor, James Lawson, Grant Lawson, Julie Lawson, Rhianna Lawson, Matthew Bellamy, three great grandchildren Kingsley Goff, Kruz Goff, Relic Reynolds and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Trammell, mother Helen Fleury, father Joseph Alexander Fleury, son Matthew Bellamy, granddaughter Melissa Lee Bellamy, two brothers Robert Trammell and Earl Fleury. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
