Edith Mary Agee, ninety-eight, died peacefully March 31, 2017 at Mountain View Heath and Rehab in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Edith was born in Searcy County, Arkansas on February 21, 1919. She was the daughter of Thomas Elwood and Mary Arizona (Lay) Keeling. She was raised and received her education in St. Joe, Arkansas. Shortly after the completion of her education, Edith was married to Plin Dearing in 1938 and they had twenty happy years together living in Texas on their ranch until his death in 1958. Later in life, Edith was married to Lee M. Agee, Sr. of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Edith and Lee were members of Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Sapulpa and after retiring they enjoyed many years traveling across the country in their motorhome.
After Lee's death Edith's health began to fail and she moved to Mountain View to be close to her niece Rhonda and husband Tom Simmons. Edith resided in Mountain View thirteen years and she and Rhonda had many enjoyable days together quilting, embroidering and working in Edith's flower beds.
Edith was a loving and kind person who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Elwood and Mary Arizona Keeling; two husband, Plin Dearing and Lee M. Agee, Sr.; seven brothers, Everett Keeling, Thomas Keeling, Millard Keeling, Fred Keeling, Jack Keeling, L. C. Keeling as an infant, and a twin baby brother, and three sisters, Eva Page, Glinna Kirk and Laura Norris.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. David Head officiating. A private burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
