Mass for Earl Franklin Reynolds Jr. will be held on Tuesday, 10:30 am, March 26, 2019; Rosary services willMonday, 7:00 pm, March 25, 2019, both at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mannford, Oklahoma with Father Todd Nance presiding. Burial will follow in the Terlton Cemetery in Terlton, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Earl was born on April 29, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Earl, Sr, and Betty (Harrigan) Reynolds. Earl grew up in Tulsa attending Park Elementary, Clinton Junior High and graduated from Daniel Webster High School with the Class of 1964. Following graduation, Earl accepted employment with Triangle Blueprint for a short time before joining the United State Air Force on February 22, 1965. While in the military Earl was stationed at Vandenburg Air Force Base and was a part of the 1369th Photo Squadron. On April 18, 1965, Earl was united in marriage to Theresa Vogel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sargent Reynolds was honorably discharged on October 22, 1968. Following his discharge Earl and Theresa remained in the Santa Maria, California area. Earl worked as a manager of the local drive-in theater as well as operated the Exxon service station. During that time Earl also attended Alan Hancock College. In 1973, Earl and Theresa returned to Oklahoma and he gained employment with Refractory Specialist. Several years later in 1975, Earl and Theresa moved to their current home in Terlton, Oklahoma. Soon after moving to Terlton, Earl accepted employment with the United States Post Office. He was a mail carrier for nearly 30 years when he retired from the Gilcrease Station in 2003.

Earl enjoyed growing a garden. He loved the opportunity to share the fruits of his labor and during that time it gave him time to visit with his friends & family. Earl was also an avid University of Oklahoma fan and football season ticket holder for many years. He and his son Earl, III would travel with them yearly attending all the bowl games. Earl also was a big Oklahoma City Thunder and NASCAR fan. His favorite channels were The Weather Channel & Fox News. He was an avid supporter of President Donald Trump’s goal of “Make America Great Again” initiative. He loved being around his grandchildren and family; however, when he had enough, he would always excuse himself and say, “I have to go take a nap.” Earl loved helping others, and his favorite phrase to others was “get your mind right.”

Earl passed from this life on Thursday, March 21, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years old.

Survivors include his wife Theresa of the home; three children Earl Reynolds, III and his wife Karen of Terlton, Oklahoma, Crissy Reynolds Ford of Hallett, Oklahoma, James Reynolds and wife Bekki of Terlton, Oklahoma, Michael Reynolds and his wife Shelly of Terlton, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his son Thomas Reynolds, Sr., identical twin brother Gene Reynolds, Sr., two sisters Deann Barnstead and Elizabeth Cavin.
