Earl Albert Terhune, Jr., 71, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the St. Francis Hospital.

Earl was born August 20, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Earl Albert, Sr. and Willa Dean (Crenshaw) Anderson. Earl grew up in Hominy and later graduated with the Class of 1964. Following graduation, Earl furthered his education at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Earl returned to Hominy and began working for Sun Oil. He also worked for the railroad and as an independent pumper until the mid-1970’s. Earl then began doing what he loved most which were being a cowboy and raising cattle. Earl has been ranching in Osage County for many years and was well respected by many of friends and colleagues. On July 18, 2015, Earl was united in marriage to Sandra Jean Frazier.

Earl had many things he enjoyed doing, however, most of them were overshadowed by his love to work. During his younger years, Earl loved hunting quail and working his bird dogs. Ranch rodeos were a passion of Earl’s; taking yearly trips to Amarillo, Texas for the events.

Survivors are his wife Sandra of the home, one daughter Jennifer Burnett and her husband Lee of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; two step children Heather Hurley and her husband Brian of Pocola, Oklahoma, Mandy Scott and her husband Wade of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three siblings Holly Hill and her husband Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Danny Anderson and Deb of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Patty Hogan and husband Randy of Edmond, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Kayla, Kelsey "Tex", Tori, Adrianna, Maci, Eli; one great granddaughter Carter, Otis his English Bulldog as well as numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his daughter Krista Duncan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Wynona First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.
