Donna Fay Walker

Donna Fay Walker was born on February 26, 1938, in Burlington, Washington, to Charles Sugg Head and Versel Edith Head (Cruzen). Her parents moved back to Oklahoma when she was two years old. They were living at Sand Springs when her father died in 1945. Her mother remarried, and they moved to Kansas. She graduated from high school in Lyons, Kansas, in 1956, and her family returned to Oklahoma. Donna attended Bartlesville Business College and Tulsa Junior College. She worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville for ten years. Donna was united in marriage to Jerry Thomas in 1959, and to that union, there is one son Daniel L. Thomas. They later divorced in 1966. Donna returned to Tulsa in 1967 and worked for Cities Service Oil Company and Rockwell International. In 1970, Donna was united in marriage to Kenneth Walker, a Pawnee County farmer and Rancher. She worked for four different ministers and two different lawyers after moving to Pawnee county, where she worked as a legal secretary for Houston Osborn and Sexton Law Firm, from which she retired.


Donna enjoyed many hobbies. She enjoyed reading, gardening, music, and cooking and was an avid sports fan; her favorite teams were Oklahoma State University and the Atlanta Braves baseball. Donna was a long-time member of the Blackburn United Methodist Church and was a current member of the St. James Presbyterian Church in Jenks, Oklahoma. Donna was also a dog lover, and Biscuit was her long-time companion, a long-haired dachshund.


Donna passed from this life on September 29, 2022.


She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Dolph Allen, son Daniel L. Thomas, husband Kenneth Walker, and two brothers, Leon Head and Darrel Allen.


Survivors include her grandchildren Natasha Thomas Guerra and her husband Michael R. Guerra, her granddaughter Kelsea Thomas and her three great grandchildren Miles Ray Guerra, Mason Daniel Guerra, Merylee Louise Guerra, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sister Deborah Colson and her husband Larry Colson, two sisters in law Marion Allen, Pat Head, great niece Sheila Walker Gunn, daughter in law Alena Thomas as well as numerous nephews, nieces, several cousins and her dog Jewell.
