Donald Leroy Goforth, 88, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from this life on October 30, 2021.

Don was born on February 28, 1933, the son of Lester and Eleanor (Plechaty) Goforth. Don grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Following his education Don joined the U.S. Army and during that time he met Florence Goodfox. The couple was later united in marriage in Pawnee, Oklahoma on April 11, 1957. They established their home in Ohio where they raised their two children Diane and Denise. In 1981, Don and Florence moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and he gained employment with the Turnpike Authority. They later moved to Pawnee, Oklahoma where he resided for many years. Don retired from the Turnpike Authority in early 2000. Following retirement Don began working at Spears Furniture in Pawnee later in 2010, Don moved to the Baptist Village in Cleveland, Oklahoma. During his time at the Baptist Village Don, met his soon to be wife Patsy. They were united in marriage on April 8, 2012, establishing their home in Grove, Oklahoma. For the past five years, Don and Patsy have lived in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Don enjoyed being outdoors especially working in his yard. Loved traveling, going to Phoenix to see his sister Arlene and attending the spring baseball training camp. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians as well as OSU Cowboys. Don enjoyed the Honor Flight trip to Washington, DC with his grandson Derek in 2016. Don always loved being with his family, friends and attending sporting events. He was very adamant about reading the Tulsa World and the Daily Oklahoman each and every day.

Survivors are his wife Patsy of the home; four children Diane Wichita of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Denise Anderson of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Tommy Cooper of Leander, Texas, Tanya Tipling of Bixby, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren Deanne Grant, Derek Wichita, Lynette Tsotigh, Eric Anderson, Andrea Wichita, Chloe Anderson, Stephanie Twist, Cooper Barr, Aubrey Tipling, Brianna Tipling, Bobbie Grantham, Tiffany Collie; eleven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by his father Lester Goforth, mother Eleanor Sparks, five siblings Eugene Goforth, Jerry Goforth, Ralph Goforth, Arlene Jones and Nancy Sinkko.

Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with David Head officiating services. Burial will be held in the Veterans Section of Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
