Funeral services for Diana Kay Padgett, 68, of Hominy, Oklahoma, will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Prue First Baptist Church with Rev. Garry McDevitt officiating. Private burial will be held in the Prairie View Cemetery following the services. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements

Diana was born February 24, 1950, in Stillwell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Franklin and Opal Velta (Lawless) Troutman. As a young girl, Diana moved with her parents to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she began her education. They later moved to the Wild Horse Area of Osage County. She then started attending school in Prue where she later graduated from Prue High School with the Class of 1969. Following high school, Diana lived and traveled to several locations including Taiwan for several years. Diana returned to Oklahoma residing to Stillwell. She worked at the local nursing home as a cook for several years before gaining employment with Tyson at the poultry processing plant in Siloam Springs. In the late 1990’s, Diana moved to Hominy, Oklahoma where she has continued to reside.

Diana loved to cook. She also loved to take care of her cats which meant the world to her. Diana always enjoyed the times that her family and friends would get together and visit for hours at a time. One of her favorite places to eat was the Delta Café as well as going over to Peggy’s home for Sunday dinners. Diana loved to grow and order exotic vegetables from online and out of catalogs to see what they might be.

Diana passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma following a brief illness.

Survivors are her four sisters Janis Troutman of Oklahoma, Dee Hubbard of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Glenda Peal and her husband Charles of Mannford, Oklahoma, Darinda Clements of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one brother Kenneth Troutman of Enid, Oklahoma, sister in law Peggy Troutman of Prue, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Diana was preceded in death by her, three brothers Finley, Henry, George and Bobby Troutman as well as two sisters Sue Jones and Ruth Murdock.
