Dee Jones Dobbs

On September 21, 2003 Dee Jones Dobbs passed away at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home at the age of 87 years. He was born on January 19, 1916 to Ben and Milvina (Rutledge) Dobbs in Manes Missouri.

Dee received his education in Wright County, Missouri. On November 11, 1937 he married Sylvia Trellis Willhite in Hartville, Missouri. They made their home in Coweta, Oklahoma. They raised four sons Eldridge Wolf, Ronnie Dobbs, Bennie Joe and Mack Dobbs. In 1946 they moved to Sperry, Oklahoma. He worked for the Oklahoma State Highway Department until he had a heart attack. He then retired and took care of his wife and did work on his land. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sylvia and his son Eldridge, Kenny Wolf his grandson and seven brothers.

He is survived by three sons Ronnie and his wife Ruthann of Manes, Missouri, Bennie Joe and his wife Doris of Mannford, Oklahoma, Mack and his wife Cariel of Jennings, Oklahoma, one sister Esther Bur and her husband Jim of Sperry, Oklahoma and one brother Chester and his wife Almy of Dewey, Oklahoma, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma; 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 24, 2003 with Reverend George Boston officiating. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
