Debra Denise Christensen passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at her home in Cleveland at the age of 52 years two months and eighteen days. Debbie is survived by her two children Landon Wayne Christensen of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Lizabeth Annalee Christensen of the home, siblings Donna Ausbern of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dale Cummings of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, David Cummings of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Danny Cummings of Beggs, Oklahoma, Joyce Cartwright of Cleveland, Oklahoma, three uncles Randy Cummings and his wife Laurie of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Ronald Cummings and his wife Bobbie of Mannford, Oklahoma, Melvin Baker of Las Vegas, Nevada; one aunt Patsy Cooper of Hallett, Oklahoma, three grandchildren Cyrus, Tytus and Lucius Christensen as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents as well as her mother Carol Ann Cummings, father Donald Lee Cummings and aunt Mary Cummings. Debbie was born October 10, 1959 in San Diego, California. She was the daughter of Donald Lee and Carol Ann (Baker) Cummings. Debbie began her education in Cleveland where she later graduated with the Class of 1977. During her time in high school and following Debbie worked for Cooks Grocery as well as Katieís CafÈ. Debbie was later united in marriage to Dwayne Christensen in June of 1978. She and Dwayne traveled throughout the United States following the pipeline and in 1981, Debbie returned to Cleveland to raise her family. Debbie worked at Kurtz and Kurtz Accounting Firm in Tulsa for several years before deciding to work with her dad at Sherwood Construction. Debbie owned with Donna the Burger Stop CafÈ & Sisters Antiques in the early 1990ís Debbie worked for many of the local convenience stores in the area including Billy Bís, Peruskyís and was currently employed at In and Out. Most of all in life Debbie loved and cherished the times she was able to help take care of her family and especially her momma and daddy when they needed help. Debbie loved the times going to games of her kids. She enjoyed the times out with the girls having a good time and talking trash. Debbie spent numerous hours playing poker at the kitchen table ìspending her inheritanceî. Debbie always put others before herself. Debbie is a woman that will be greatly missed by all especially her smile, laugh, and charisma. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 30, 2011 at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. The cremated remains will be buried at a later date in the Dixie-Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
