Daniel Jason Brown passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the age of 34 years, nine months and thirteen days. Jason was the son of Don and Terri (Randall) Brown. He was born on November 29, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jason was raised in Cleveland where he began his education and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He completed his junior year at Cleveland High School and prior to his senior year; transferred to Hominy High School where he graduated with the Class of 1996. During his senior year, Jason played on the state tournament basketball and baseball teams advancing to the semi finals. Jason was member of the National Honor Society and participated in Boys State. Following high school Jason furthered his education at Tulsa Junior College where he received an associateís degree. He then transferred to Oklahoma State University where he completed his Bachelorís degree in Business Administration Management Information Systems, graduating in 2003. During his time in college Jason helped his family operate Brown Land and Cattle on the ranch in herd management. Following graduation Jason joined his father Don at Falcon Field Service for a short time prior to joining ScissorTail Energy in 2005. Jason began as a field service technician, his duties included field locates as well as leak surveys. He was currently the field service operator in Osage County for the companyís midstream production. Jason was an avid duck hunter; he loved the 3:00 AM hunts in the bitter cold on Sooner Lake or in the Perry and Morrison area. Jason also enjoyed deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting but his biggest passion was fast cars. He was a Ford enthusiast at heart. He was very proud of his Mustang Shelby GT 500 as well as his Mach 1 Mustang. At the 2011 Mid America Ford Shelby Nationals in Tulsa, Jason won the best of show and came in runner up in the drag competition. Jason would often talk about his trip to Canada with Kyle Sparks. They visited Toronto saw the sights and took in a Blue Jays game. Jason was a very proud OSU Cowboy and very strong supporter of the athletic programs. Jason loved spending time with his fiancÈe Alicia. The two spent many hours mud bogging in his truck and jeep, working their dogs and going to the movies. Jason was loving, spontaneous and funny, so full of life and ever so selfless. Survivors are his parents Don and Terri Brown of Cleveland, Oklahoma, fiancÈe Alicia Carner of Skiatook, Oklahoma, two sisters Lori Brown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Darrah Frazier and her husband Luke of Skiatook, Oklahoma, three nieces Baylee, Loghan, Tinsley, paternal grandparents June Brown of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Ramona Brown of Hominy, Oklahoma, maternal grandparents Richard and Elaine Randall of Perry, Oklahoma, Orlan and Mildred Lemler of Cleveland, Oklahoma as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparent Dewey J. Brown.
