Cynthia Annette Harrold

Cynthia Annette Ringgold Harrold was born July 16, 1980 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Matt and Connie (Roberson) Ringgold. Syndi moved with her family when she was a baby to Oklahoma. She attended school and was raised in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1999. During her early teens, Syndi was diagnosed with Crohnís disease which significantly affected the quality of the remainder of her life. Upon completion of her high school education, Syndi attended Oklahoma State University. She is the mother of two beautiful twin daughters, Kaylee and Alexis. In addition to her children, Syndi especially loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them as a family. Syndi established many goals for her life that she was unable to fulfill due to her chronic illness. She had planned on getting her life on track by returning to Oklahoma State to further her education; working as hard as she could to obtain great grades. Her desire for further education was to attend Texas A&M in Corpus Christi or Florida State University to obtain a degree in Biology. She intended upon pursuing a career as a Marine Biologist, studying ocean life as she had a love of dolphins; and then furthering her career as a hydrologist. As her Crohnís disease progressed, Syndi was limited in her activities as severe abdominal pain is associated with disease. Although she was unable to eat many things because of her condition, Syndi had a few favorites to name a few: BBQ from the Dari-Diner, Arbyís roast beef sandwiches, Dr. Pepper, mashed potatoes and chocolate pie. Syndi has always been an avid sportís fan and desired to participate in many sports but was unable too because of her illness. She subsequently turned to television to enjoy sports and watched as many as possible but especially enjoyed University of Oklahoma Sooner Football and Basketball. She also loved and enjoyed her cats, Baby and Mr. Fluffy Pants, who she spent countless hours with. Syndi has endured significant health issues for the past few years and passed from this life as a result of this battle on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of thirty-two at the Cleveland Area Hospital. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bill Roberson; and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Betty Ringgold. Syndi is survived by her two daughters, Kaylee Marie Harrold and Alexis Marie Harrold, both of Cleveland; her parents, Matt and Connie Ringgold of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother, Theodore Ringgold of North Carolina; sister and her husband, Jennifer and Chris Pregler of Farmington, New Mexico, sister and her husband, Greta and David Nauss of Cleveland, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Mary Lee Quinalty of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
