Connie Jo Wilson

Constance Josephine (Beville) Wilson, lifelong Cleveland resident, was born on November 24, 1944 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Herman and Lillian May (Nash) Beville. Connie was raised and attended school in Cleveland. Upon the completion of her education, Connie was married to Paul J. Wilson, Sr. on March 11, 1960. The couple had five children, Paul, Jr., Lillian, Samantha, Amelia and Jamie; raising them in the Cleveland. Connie was dedicated to her family and was committed to providing a loving and caring home for them. As the children got older, in order to assist in the familyís needs, Connie attended Cleveland Beauty School where she completed her training and was licensed as a cosmetologist. Her caring and compassionate nature limited her success in the hair styling business as she tended to always provide free services for her family and friends. Connie later worked for several years as a short order cook at Katieís CafÈ in Cleveland. After attending schooling and training in health care, Connie received her certificate as a Certified Nurses Aide and worked at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home for nearly ten years, retiring after she injured her back in 1981. Connie was raised in the Roman Catholic faith but attended and joined the First Assembly of God Church in Cleveland. She enjoyed reading her bible and spent countless hours studying Godís word and applying it to her daily life. Her strong faith was evident in her loving spirit she exhibited to those around her. Connie was described by her family as a good hearted, giving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a happy-go-lucky attitude. Although she battled health problems for many years, Connie always remained happy and maintained a positive attitude that she shared with her family. Connie loved to crochet and provided afghans, pot holders, tea towels, teddy bears and key chains that she had knitted to her family and friends. She also enjoyed bead work and ceramics. For many years, Connie was a avid fisherman and loved spending time outdoors with her family on the bank of a pond, lake or river. She also liked listening to country western music and was an avid fan of Johnny Cash. She could often be found watching WWE wrestling on television or listening to her religious tapes. Connie passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of sixty-eight. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Beville, a daughter, Lillian Wilson and a son, Paul J. Wilson, Jr. She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-three years, Paul J.
