Claudine R. Conner took her heavenly journey on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Maywood Terrace Living Center in Independence, Missouri at the age of eighty-six.

Claudine was born on November 6, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Franklin Newton and Alberta Martin. Claudine was raised and attended school in Dunlap, Iowa where she graduated from high school in 1948. Claudine was married to Walter Conner on December 9, 1951 and traveled a lot as newlyweds. She followed Walter as he worked as a steeplejack performing as a craftsman who scaled buildings, chimneys and church steeples to carry out repairs or maintenance.

When Walter finally accepted a position with Cesna Aircraft. the couple established their home in Wichita and then moved to Kansas City in 1953 and shortly thereafter to Blue Springs, Missouri where they have continued to reside.

Claudine was an avid reader and especially enjoyed Nora Roberts novels. Additionally, she enjoyed country music and watchng the Price is Right on television. She was an excellent cook but will be remembered for her eggs and brownies. One of her favorite trips was when the couple moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan when Walter accepted a position constructing a Veterans Administration building. Claudine was described by her family as a habitual cleaner ensuring every bit of their home was immaculate. Additionally, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was extremely energetic and was always on the go. Both her and Walter were ordained as ministers in the Full Gospel Church in 1980. In addition to her family, Claudine had a special black poodle which she called BoBo that she enjoyed and loved to spend time with.

Claudine is survived by her husband, Walter of sixty five years of the home; a son, George Franklin Conner and his wife, Ok Yol "Connie" Conner; two grandchildren, Franklin Lyn Conner of Grain Valley, Missouri and Dianne Lynn Conner of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri;' two great-grandsons, Colton Lyn Conner of Fort Riley, Kansas, Kyle Andrew Conner of Grain Valley, Missouri; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Jo Conner of Grain Valley, Missouri. In addition to her parents, Claudine was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
