Catherine Regina Hummel

Catherine Regina Hummel, passed away at her home on Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, at the age of 72 years, four months and five days.

Cathy was born on March 21, 1944, in Old Mines, Missouri. She was the daughter of Ray and Vermeda Cora (Thebeau) Rolens. As a young girl Cathy attended Catholic School in the Old Mines/Potos area where she completed her education. Cathy soon began working doing what she could to help her family provide with the things needed. Cathy was united in marriage on August 31, 1960 to Albert Campbell. The couple remained in Missouri and Albert soon joined the military and the couple moved to several places before residing in Altus, Oklahoma until 1982. Cathy was later united in marriage in 1984, to Robert Carl Hummel. Cathy and Bob remained in Altus and in 2000 moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma where she has continued to reside.

Cathy enjoyed being around her family and especially loved going to Branson with her sisters. She also like to sew, scrap book and look out her windows bird watching. Raising her three children, Cathy felt that was a great accomplishment. Working in the garden and being with her grandchildren always put a smile on Cathy’s face. Cathy always enjoyed the times when Kevin would set up the karoake machine and sing. Most of all in life Cathy loved the times when her family would get together and felt that working hard was a trait everyone should have.
