Memorial services for Carolyn T. Kelley were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the First Christian Church in Hallett, Oklahoma with Harvey Meyers officiating.

Carolyn was born December 2, 1934 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George Wayland and Irene D. Taylor. Carolyn moved at an early age with her family to the Hallett area where she attended her early childhood education and then moved to Childress, Texas where she graduated from high school in 1952.

Shortly after graduation, Carolyn was married to B. H. Kelley in Hollis, Oklahoma on May 18, 1952. The couple made their initial home in Morton, Texas and then returned to Hallett from Lovington, New Mexico in 1963. They had three children, Doug, Randy and Kathy.

In 1982, Carolyn accepted employment as a bus driver and teacher's aide at the Central Area Vo-Tech in Drumright. She was known by her students and those who rode her bus as Aunt B. Carolyn was a member of the First Christian Church in Hallett where she served for many years as song leader. She is a past president of the Pawnee County Soil Conservation District and past president of the Pawnee County Home Demonstration Club, now known as the Pawnee County Extension Homemakers.

Carolyn's hobbies included quilting, reading mystery novels, genealogy and going to family reunions. She has created many beautiful quilts and also enjoyed assisting her family running their sheep ranch.

Carolyn passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at her home near Hallett, Oklahoma at the age of sixty-nine years, eleven months and nineteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, B. H. Kelley of the home; three children, Doug Kelley of the home, Randy Kelley of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Kathy Kelley of Jennings, Oklahoma; brother, Bruce Taylor of Grand Junction, Colorado; three grandchildren, Kathy Lynn Burcik of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jeana Farrar of Hallett, Oklahoma and Bruce Heath Kelley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and four great-grandchildren.
